EcoPlanet IIB4 is a type II composite Portland cement; it contains 65 to 79 per cent clinker, 21 to 35 per cent limestone and minor constituents for the remainder.
Features:
- Designed to offer the same benefits as a Type ‘A’ limestone Portland cement, but with a ‘significant reduction in the CO2 emitted for its production.
- A product with high initial strength, suitable for reducing the time required for skimming, particularly recommended in cold periods.
- Multi-purpose product recommended for the preparation of concrete, masonry mortar and sub-bases (screeds) to meet all site work requirements: new, restoration and maintenance.
- Guaranteed quality and consistency in product composition.
- Complies with UNI EN 197/1.
Sustainability elements
- Reduced CO2 emissions:
The use of ECOPlanet IIB4, compared to an average national cement, allows a reduction in the net emission of CO2 per unit of product of 26% (calculation made in accordance with GNR criteria) which rises to 39% compared to a Portland cement. - Use of demolition waste:
With material cycle closure in the clinker. - Recyclate content:
The product contains a recycled content plus approximately 9.0%, calculated according to the ‘AITEC Guideline for quantifying the content of recovered, recycled or by-product material in cement production for the purpose of self-declared environmental claims or for certification by a conformity assessment body’. This data can be used in the supply of building materials to certify the performance achieved in terms of environmental sustainability (for CAM – Minimum Environmental Criteria for Construction, LEED system, ITACA or equivalent).
